Desert gateway~Whimsical Windows and Delirious Doors~020612

Sometimes I like to drive around the desert with my camera and just look at how people landscape their yards.  I hate our front yard.  We have an old wood fence which is probably going to blow over the next time the wind blows.  so, I'm out looking at other houses and gates and yards.  I love this one, but we probably couldn't afford to do this.  So, I keep looking and looking.  Isn't it a great doorway?  Whimsical Windows and Delirious Doors for February 6, 2012.  To visit WWDD, please go to this link:  http://iwishiwereaphotographer.blogspot.com/2012/02/whimsical-windows-delirious-doors-10.html

Wow, you're right, that is a pretty fancy front gate. Beautiful find! Don't worry, I'm sure you'll create something that you love for your own yard.
Thanks so much for participating in WWDD!

They must really value their privacy with such a solid door to their yard!

Gorgeous door, and it reminds me of many i would see in Oman. So it would seem that desert countries have some things in common, even though they are worlds apart.

What a fabulous gate, and it must give such a feeling of an oasis to the private space inside.

That is a fantastic doorway in what I assume is the garden wall. Walled gardens are so attractive...maybe because I always want to know what's on the other side of the wall!

I love the photo in your header.
