Gate~Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors~021312

I was out driving through the Cahuilla Hills area this morning and I found this lovely gate.  The bright red plants are bougenvillas.  Years ago, there were very few houses in this area of Palm Desert, but now there are some fairly large mansions.  Whimsical Windows and Delirious Doors for February 13, 2012.

Nice combination of wood and stone. And I love seeing the bougainvilleas!

Oh, it is a lovely gate, what a lot of charm! Great find! I love bougainvilleas, but when I tried putting one it a pot on my balcony it was less than pleased :)
Thanks so much for playing along in WWDD!

I like the gate and wall - it may be modern but instead looks like mission style that may be hundreds of years old. This feels like an oasis in the hot and arid desert...

Another one of those shots where I am dying to find out what is behind the door! Lovely find. And thanks for stopping by my blog.

The gate entry looks so very mysterious and enticing. Lovely!
