Deserts and Beyond
Deserts and beyond...places in and around the southern California deserts and beyond. Photo taken at Canyon Lake, in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona, December 2011. A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Ah Ha! That first one is a Baja Fairy Duster...I took a picture of one last week at Desert Botanical Gardens. The name says it all.
Whoops was I not supposed to say what it was??? I guess I hadn't read the words too well...I saw that pretty red flower and got crazy...sorry, hope I didn't mess it up for anyone.
Lovely photographs, think the first one is my favourite :)
Wonderful RED pics...my favorite is the top one too. ;)
I love the first one. I'd never heard of a Baja Fairy Duster (we don't have them in NJ) but sure am glad I got to see this one! Beautiful images.
