Desert Lupine~Outdoor Wednesday 030211

Our desert and local mountains are alive right now with desert lupine. I even saw some out by Bermuda Dunes this afternoon! They are mostly growing up on Highway 74, at 1,000 - 2,000 feet. I've stopped a couple of times to take photos of the lupine. They've been blooming now for a couple of weeks and with temps heading toward the 80's this weekend, they won't be around much longer. Outdoor Wednesday for March 2, 2011. Be sure to visit: http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/ for other participants in Outdoor Wednesday.

A least the desert does provides you with something pretty. Not just hot and dry days.
