A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

South Tufa, Mono Lake~SkyWatch Friday 060410
We stopped by Mono Lake and the south tufa last weekend during the late afternoon. Clouds were developing overhead and provided relief from the blue sky. And, the tufa provided interesting subjects! SkyWatch Friday for June 4, 2010.

Great shot Cheryl! Very cool formation there4 at Mono Lake and that bit of green down in the corner really sets the mood.
You have a great series on the Eastern Sierra. I am soo ready for the snow to melt so that we can enjoy our place in those beautiful mountains.
That's too bad about the Ranch House. We've never stopped there but still it would seem strange to see it gone.
