When my uncle and I visited the Living Desert Reserve last Saturday, it was before hours at the park and the giraffes weren't out of their nightly pen. Their alfalfa was in the high feeder and the keepers were cleaning out their corral, but they were nowhere in sight. Fortunately, this metal one is always on alert! Here it is peeking over the acacia trees. SkyWatch Friday for May 28, 2010.
