This bobcat is one of the ones at the Living Desert Reserve in Palm Desert, CA. I have actually seen two in the wild in our local mountains. The first time was when I was driving down the mountain and I glanced out the window into a wash. Yup. There was a bobcat right there! Another time, I was up in Garner Valley visiting my cousin and as I turned the corner to go to her house, I glanced down into a little wash with a culvert (I'm always glancing down)...and yup, there was a beautiful one! I quietly stopped my car, grabbed my camera, tiptoed over to the wash, and got one photo before he quietly and quickly went through the culvert. I knew he would come out the other side, so I waited and there he was! Once he glanced up and saw me, however, he took off!!! Unfortunately, I don't remember now which folder those pics are, but these are so much closer and better! Aren't they a beautiful animal? Nice kitty, kitty! Sunday Stills Challenge for May 10, 2010.

Those are great shots!
I've been lucky enough to see one in the wild- crossing the road just a mile from my cabin. They are magnificent- remind me of BIG housecats with BIG paws!!
They are so graceful and stunning.
Beautiful. But, I don't think I would want one as a pet. I think I would be walking into an empty aviary.
Great shots, they are beautiful creatures. How neat that you have seen them in the wild.
Questo bobcat รจ veramente meraviglioso.
Sarebbe molto bello poterlo accarezzare, ma credo che non sia possibile, vero ?
Bellissima e dolcissima foto.
