I looked up at our local mountains Friday afternoon and it appeared to be snowing there, but was it cold enough for snow? Yes, indeed, it was! We drove up to Idyllwild yesterday and spotted cars with snow on them coming down the mountain, so we decided to proceed to our favorite restaurant/bakery, The Bread Basket, for a warm breakfast and some delicious coffee! And, we weren't disappointed! The town was dusted with 2-3 inches of fresh snow in a storm that surprised even the locals! An April storm! How refreshing! It was interesting to see the trees in bloom now surrounded by fresh snow! What a contrast! Scenic Sunday for April 12, 2009. Happy Easter!

Ahh...there is nothing more scenic than freshly fallen snow. Glad you had a terrific time up in the snow...
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought that can't be Palm Desert! I remember how wonderful it was to head to the mountains when we lived in Phoenix!
I am a Georgia girl recently transplanted to Arizona, west of Phoenix. I miss the little bit of snow we usually get in north Georgia. This is beautiful.
Pretty photos of the snowstorm. It's particularly nice to see that the trees are leafing out at the same time.
