Deserts and Beyond

Deserts and beyond...places in and around the southern California deserts and beyond. Photo taken at Canyon Lake, in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona, December 2011. A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Bare tree against a blue sky~~SkyWatch Friday, April 17, 2009

Hubby and I drove to Ramona yesterday. We wanted to visit the Ramona Cafe (yum, yum!). After a delightful lunch (turkey melt for me and a fried chicken sandwich for hubby), we went to the feed store across the street, stopped at the True Value hardware store, and went back to the Ramona Cafe for desserts and coffee before driving home. What a day! We saw this beautiful, bare tree near Anza on our way home. SkyWatch Friday for April 17, 2009.

That tree is beautiful . . . I can see why you stopped . . . I's be finding all kinds of excuses to go to the Ramona Cafe and see the tree in all its seasons.
