Deserts and Beyond

Deserts and beyond...places in and around the southern California deserts and beyond. Photo taken at Canyon Lake, in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona, December 2011. A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Fountain~~Watery Wednesday for April 22, 2009

This delightful fountain is at The Gardens in Palm Desert, an upscale shopping center. When I was there, a man was with his standard poodle, who delighted in running and jumping in it! Hey, when it's 100 degrees, what are ya' going to do? Watery Wednesday for April 22, 2009. Happy Earth Day!

Charming fountain, simple and elegant. I sure can't blame a poodle for wanting to play in it. Beautiful lighting and reflections in the photos.

I think I'd take a dip in that too considering how hot it's been. Stay cool and enjoy WW...
