Deserts and Beyond

Deserts and beyond...places in and around the southern California deserts and beyond. Photo taken at Canyon Lake, in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona, December 2011. A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Sunrise~SkyWatch Friday 102910

I always take my little Nikon Coolpix with me. I keep it in my purse because I leave for work every morning (at least until Daylight Savings Time ends) right as the sun is coming up. This was the view this past week. Isn't it gorgeous? We've had some beautiful sunrises the last couple of weeks, due to the clouds in the valley. SkyWatch Friday for October 29, 2010.

I am with you, my little digital is with me at all times. The only problem I do not see many sky sights as lovely as this.

I am starting to look forward to the end of daylight savings time, because now I am walking the dogs in the dark, so no photos, unless we take a really long route. I love the sunrise colours!!!

I have to learn to keep my little camera in my purse all the time too. I miss too many good shots. I did have it today so managed to catch a picture.
Love the colours of the early morning sky in your photo.
Happy Halloween!

I wish I could drag myself out of bed so early like that! I rely on the sunset, instead. This is an awesome sight to begin the day with...
