Coyote~Camera Critters for 110709

We love to watch the coyotes at the Living Desert Reserve in Palm Desert, CA. Here is their website address: http://www.livingdesert.org/
Unfortunately, they aren't always out or active. However, on this day, this coyote had crawled up on top of a big rock and was sunning himself! Camera Critters for Saturday, November 7, 2009.

The Living Desert Reserve is on Portola Avenue in Palm Desert. If you stay at one of the local hotels, they will know about it. Their website is: http://www.livingdesert.org/

He looks like a big puppy dog. :) I've seen them sitting on rocks like that, too - it must be a coyote thing.

They are beautiful creatures. We see them in the foothills in the Inland Valley and Orange County as well. I love to hear their yapping when visiting the desert at night. It's eerie and pleasing at the same time.
