This is one of the walkways at the Morongo Valley Preserve. There is a sign warning people to stay on these walkways due to ticks and snakes. Oh, joy! I stayed on the walkway. Shadow Shot Sunday for March 11, 2012. To visit SSS, please follow this link:

lovely path! minus the snakes and ticks, of course!
As long as the path has shadows, who cares about snakes and ticks? :)
Shadowy Reflections
It is beautiful.
The ticks would do it for me...I'd stay on the path! I hate ticks!
Your header photo is stunning!
lol I would too!
Nice shot!
Looks like fun. Not so much about ticks....or snakes. But especially ticks. Ugh....to have Lime's disease. No thank you!
A nice walk.
The Morongo Valley Preserve is such a great spot! Literally an oasis in the desert. Depending upon the time of year, you can see turtles, tadpoles, frogs, lots of bird activity, and yes, snakes. Last time my wife and I were there (last summer) we saw a large snake (gopher? rosy boa? I'm terrible with snake ID). Thanks for the post.
Looks like a good day for a walk.
Pleasure is a shadow
Very nice photo.
Regards and best wishes
lovely shadows!
Love board walks that wind in and out of areas! A beautiful shadowy one! And yes! I would be sure to watch out for snakes and ticks! No argument!
The sign is merely to scare those who don't care about Shadow Shots! Well done Hunter who will not be deterred!
Love it!
John
