Deserts and Beyond

Deserts and beyond...places in and around the southern California deserts and beyond. Photo taken at Canyon Lake, in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona, December 2011. A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Whimsical Windows and Delirious Doors~031912

More intriguing and interesting windows and doors from Pioneertown, CA, which is near Joshua Tree.  I LOVE the high desert and I enjoy exploring it whenever we can.  It is only about 45 minutes from our home in the low desert.  WWDD for March 19, 2012. Love the Southwest theme windows. When I was about 10 we lived in 29 Palms for a year and used to visit Joshua Tree National Monument all the time. I should drive out there one of these days for old time's sake!

Wow! Um... that's not really a jail, is it?

Great finds, though - I really like that first window! Thanks for sharing them all with us!
