Spillover clouds~SkyWatch Friday 103009

I often look up at our local mountains. On some days, there are "spillover" clouds. The clouds seem to hang onto the mountains and spill into our desert valley. Here is an example. It was cloudy and cold up in the mountains, but sunny in the desert. This is a common sky feature in our valley. SkyWatch Friday for October 30, 2009.
