A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Rocks~Alabama Hills~Scenic Sunday 101209
We arrived at the Alabama Hills near Lone Pine early one morning. I love the shadows on the rocks in the early morning light. Rocks, rocks, and more rocks! Oh, boy! Scenic Sunday for October 12, 2009.

Reminds me of Joshua Tree! I see one that looks like a rabbit with it's ears down...Did you climb on them?
Now, that is a rocky climb. I wonder what kind of critters are around there. Thanks for sharing your scenic Sunday.
