Looking down

I know that this is SkyWatch Friday day, but honestly, I spend more time looking DOWN than up! I do this especially when I am on my morning walks. I'm always intrigued by the footprints in the sand from the night before and with all of our windy days, the dirt roads are cleared every night by the winds and they are a canvas upon which I try to figure out what went on the previous night. Here are some examples!

Hmmm....fun fun fun....looks like 3 or 4 types of animals. On the last picture.... One...a rodent of some kind with a tail noted by the line. Perhaps a javelina for the v looking track. And either a bobcat or cougar tracking those rodents:) That's my imagination playing itself out.:)

What animal was there? :)

Very cool. I often see soooo many interesting tracks in the sand and wonder who made them.

The top one is a roadrunner. Bottom one, with the long thin line, is a lizard. I'm really not sure what the two middle ones are...does anybody know? That's why I put my foot next to them.

No javelinas or bobcats or mountain lions. This road is in the middle of town. I'm thinking that they might be a feral cat. The roads I walk are right next to the city's golf course.
