Hubby and I drove out to Joshua Tree National Park on New Year's Day. We hadn't been there since last Spring, when we took our daughter and son-in-law with us to see the wildflowers. There weren't any wildflowers this trip! The morning started out with a clear sky, but another storm was coming into the valley, and by afternoon, clouds were gathering. That's My World for Tuesday, January 4, 2011.

I just started following your blog a week or two ago. I was so excited to see this post as we are going to be at Joshua Tree in February...can't wait!

Wonderful shots!
You must feel a wonderment for these desert lands that is difficult to convey within the frame of a photo. You did a wonderful job, however. The frosted green spikes look like they are reaching for the sun before the clouds gather. :)
Wow, I haven't seen a Joshua tree in years! Great photos. Thanks for sharing them.
