Desert storm~Our World Tuesday~120611
The huge storm which is now dumping snow in New Mexico also hit us in the desert last week. All our local mountains were covered with snow. I didn't take either or my big cameras with me, but I remembered I had my little Nikon Coolpix in my purse, so I stopped to take some photos of the clouds and mountains. Joshua Tree National Park was covered with snow at the upper elevations, which quickly melted. Mt. St. Gorgonio had quite a bit of snow, as did the mountains around it. What lovely dramatic shots!
This reminds me of Arizona...I love the desert...great photos!
Those clouds brought much colder temperatures to the Phoenix area. Brrrr...it was cold this morning. Send some warmer weather this way please. :-)
love the layers in the first photo!
I just love all of these desert pictures with mountains in the background. I guess Scottsdale got snow. It seems that every winter it just gets crazier and crazier.
We got dusted here too.
