Dry Creek abandoned house~Whimsical Windows and Delightful Doors~010912

During our trip to the wine country in December, we passed by this abandoned house in Dry Creek.  Just look at all the windows!  It was condemned and a "No Trespassing" sign was posted.  Don't you wonder what stories an old house like this could tell?  Whimsical Windows and Delightful Doors for January 9, 2012. This house is quite eerie! It looks as if it has been abandoned for quite some time! I wonder why! And it seems as if it may have been quite a grand home once!

Wow, what a great find! It's a shame that it's abandoned, looks like that could be a very interesting home. Or a haunted mansion :)

That old house has great bones, what a beauty it could be if someone came along to fix it up!

Too bad that the house is abandoned - it has that old house charm, a bungalow style that looks so good, and so different than the 1960s1970s tract houses that seem to be everywhere. A nice looking structure in white and full of details...

I bet this was a beautiful home in its day. And the high basement would be quite advantageous, too.

Yes, would be great to hear the stories this place could tell. Wish you could have gotten inside... bet you could have taken some wonderful photos!
