Deserts and beyond...places in and around the southern California deserts and beyond. Photo taken at Canyon Lake, in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona, December 2011. A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Morning walk~SkyWatch Friday 031210
I've started a morning walk program. I like to get out and walk for about 30 minutes before heading out to school. I mean, who wouldn't enjoy a morning like this? SkyWatch Friday 031210
Brenda, there is a cross on one of the hills and I believe that is what you see. There are hiking trails up to the cross, but, with my back injury, I'm not sure I could make it and I certainly wouldn't do it alone. I have trouble now standing on my left leg. This is from my fall off a friend's horse a year and a half ago. I slipped two discs and now have permanent nerve damage. My feet are constantly numb and my balance is off. I'm constantly tripping over the kids at school!!!

Who wouldn't enjoy with this as scenery? Great shot.
I'm a big believer in walking - it's great for body and spirit.
Looks like a great way to start the day. Prepares you for the classroom. Have a great weekend.
Oh, I would love a walk like that. That is a beautiful beautiful desert scene...I love the soft pink cast from the early morning light.
Fantastic shot, thanks for sharing.
All the best
