Deserts and Beyond

Deserts and beyond...places in and around the southern California deserts and beyond. Photo taken at Canyon Lake, in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona, December 2011. A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Desert garden~Outdoor Wednesday and Watery Wednesday 011310

Yesterday I posted a few photos from the Palm Desert Visitor Center. These show some closeups from the same place. It is always a joy to find water in our desert southwest and there are two little pools here. I often walk here in the mornings, looking at the reflections and shadows! Outdoor Wednesday and Watery Wednesday for January 13, 2010. Enjoy your day! We have a couple of days of sunshine before a storm arrives early next week, on Monday, my day off! ACK! For other outdoor pics, please visit Outdoor Wednesday and Watery Wednesday.
