Welcome to my southern California desert blog, "Deserts and Beyond". I live near Palm Springs, CA with my husband, 1 dog, 3 cats and a yard full of birds. I have 4 horses, all rescues, and I board them up in our local mountains. We have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. We love to travel and take photos, so please come along for the ride! I don't have anything fancy. I have a Nikon D40x, which I LOVE and a new CANON EOS 7D, which I'm learning to use. I DO NOT use photoshop. What you see is what I photographed straight out of the camera!
