We've had beautiful, clear blue skies here in southern California the last several days. On Sunday, I drove up to work my horses and spotted these cottonwood trees along one road. I looked closer and saw some buds starting to come out on them, but for now they look bare against the blue sky. SkyWatch Friday for January 21, 2011.Eastern Sierra
