As I drove up Highway 74 on Sunday, I had the time to stop and take some photos of the desert lupine, which is blooming for a couple of weeks. These little plants won't last long, so I wanted to get some pics of them NOW! They start to grow at about 1,000 feet and continue up to about 2,000 feet, but I never see them higher than that elevation. Other wildflowers will begin to bloom on top of our local mountains and I'm enjoying watching the desert slowly start to bloom now.
