I drove by this field yesterday. It is usually planted with something, but right now it is empty and resting. Mellow Yellow Monday for August 10, 2009.
We often see these empty and resting fields in Ohio. This is a cool photo when enlarged, there are so many houses on the hillside in the background...an interesting contrast to the empty field.

yep.. that is one fallow field.. it is amazing how with irrigation the desert does come alive when planted..
