Deserts and Beyond
Deserts and beyond...places in and around the southern California deserts and beyond. Photo taken at Canyon Lake, in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona, December 2011. A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Fence to nowhere~Friday's Fences~042712
I swear that this fence doesn't go anywhere! It just pops out of the ground and then disappears back into it. I have no idea why it's even there. It doesn't fence in ANYTHING. But, I have to admit, it is nice to lookat, don't you think? I wish we had more wildflowers this year...sigh...maybe next year? Friday's Fences for April 27, 2012. how bizarre! and sort of cool! :)
It's like a wood sculpture out in the field!
but so cool for your shots here. makes me smile. there must be a point? right?!! (:
LOL..I would love to know the story behind it!
fence to nowhere is right! Or someone was thinking about it and thought "what's the use" so they stopped building it all together. great find!
How strange, but I like a good mystery!
It must have a reason for existing, but we don't need to know what it is, to appreciate the incongruence and the beauty!
