"People"~Pulling my Mask Off~071311




I don't usually take photos of people. Instead, I focus on the outdoors, but for this challenge, "people", I found these photos taken during our July 4th vacation to the Sierra. I hate to admit it, but I usually avoid taking photos of people...my cousin specializes in weddings and graduations, but hubby and I like the outdoors. I like them. Sometimes having a person in the picture can give you scale for that picture, so you can tell the size of the landscape around you.

I agree... I prefer to take non-people pictures. with people pictures, I always feel like I'm invading their privacy, and if I ask permission, it becomes posed and unnatural. I think good people pictures are a real challenge. My favorite above is the middle picture... wonderful solitude
