A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Mountain, snow, and road~This Way Thursday
Our local mountains got a dusting of snow a couple of weekends ago and I was out and about when I came upon these mailboxes and mountain and snow. This Way Thursday for December 17, 2009.

That one red mailbox provides such nice color contrast in this photo! The early morning light really does create magic! Beautiful!
Love the dusting of snow, it looks as though it was just sprinkled over the tops. I agree with Carolyn on the red mailbox, very nice contrast.
