Deserts and beyond...places in and around the southern California deserts and beyond. Photo taken at Canyon Lake, in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona, December 2011. A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Watery Wednesday February 18, 2009
Not only can you see the water in the lake in this photo, but if you look at the building, you can see the reflection of the snow on our mountains! JW Marriott, Palm Desert, CA. Watery Wednesday for February 18, 2009.

What a neat water effect. So are you inside looking out or outside looking at the reflection?
I like the double vision!!
Thanks for sharing!
You're right. I can see snow topped mountains. What a creative shot for WW. We've been getting lots of heavy downpours. Yahoo!
Very beautiful and interesting. Wish I was there.
The reflection in the building looks like a painting, very unusual and beautiful.
Beautiful! That photo could be in a promotional brochure.

I like this photo! The lines broken up by the reflections of the mountains - very nice!

That is an impressive photo, the reflection in the windows is a great capture. Thank you for sharing it.
That is outside looking toward the inside of the building.
Nice shot. At first glance I thought it was an indoor pool looking out. Great shot! Isn't all of that snow on the mountains a great visual treat?
I have been really enjoying your photos, such wonderful scenery! :)
