Yes, there ARE ponds in the desert. And, our locally financed golf course and resort has several of them. I haven't even seen them all yet. I know of at least 4 there. Every weekend when I take my morning walk, I discover another one, if I walk a different way! I love this one, however. It's the biggest one I've found (so far) and it has lots of ducks on it. There are reeds on three sides of it, which make nice hiding places for the ducks. I may walk back there this morning for another look!
