A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

early signs of spring: sweet acacia
This sweet acacia was in the visitor's center parking lot. LOOK at the blossoms! And, it smells wonderful!
I too love the smell of sweet acacia blossoms. I smelled some the other day while walking in my Tucson neighborhood, though I didn't see the tree. Beautiful picture!
