Deserts and Beyond
Deserts and beyond...places in and around the southern California deserts and beyond. Photo taken at Canyon Lake, in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona, December 2011. A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Mountain fence and snow~Friday Fences~121811
Snow-covered fence and snow and a fire in the fireplace...ahhhhhhh! I wish I lived here! It's always such a change to drive through the mountain communities, especially after a snow storm. Friday Fences for December 16, 2011. To stop by and visit Friday Fences, please go to: http://lifeaccordingtojanandjer.blogspot.com/

very pretty.
I love how the snow makes everything look like a wonderland.
The view of your header photo is sooo beautiful... sure wish I could visit there this morning! =)
Snow really changes the look of the land. Pretty!
Does not look like CA to me--although I've never been. How warm and cozy looking (I meant, I'm sure the inside of the house was like that)
the fence, smoke and snow make for an inviting scene! Now for some hot chocolate and cookies!!!
Such a pretty duo of shots. They house looks so homey and inviting. Love seeing the smoke from the chimney. Every morning as I pull out the driveway, I see smoke coming from the chimney of the elderly people who live up the road a bit. Each day I think I need to stop and take a picture of the smoke, and then I tell myself NO...I have to get to work. Now I am going to leave early enough to do it....you photo makes me want to give it a try. genie
such super pretty scenes...!!!
